Well we’ve just got back from an amazing pirate-themed gig on the beautiful island of Salina, north of Sicily. After an epic 13 hour journey via train, plane, car, minibus and catamaran we finally made it. Amazing views of the millpond Mediterranean Sea, olive trees everywhere and some awesome locally caught fish were what greeted us. Day 2 saw us soundchecking in 35 degree heat which was no fun, but once the sun went down we went into full-on SuperStylus party mode. It seemed like Jevon and Steve enjoyed putting on makeup for their fancy dress outfit even more than Laura. The gig was a great success, and special thanks to Jono for stepping in on keyboard duty while Matt was coincidentally gigging in Sicily so couldn’t make it. We hope to come back again – maybe Jev and Steve will get to climb the active volcano next time. Check out some of the lovely photos!
